TNA may have lost out on requiring CM Punk lately but thier 2nd target signed. TNAWrestling.com learned Tuesday night that Samoa Joe has Inked a deal to wrestle for TNA. He'll debut at Slammeversy and wrestle Sonjay Dutt In his debut.

I wonder what Leslie Lee would think of this. I know he doesn't like TNA but It appears TNA Is persueing wrestlers and trying to shake up the product some. If It works then....good luck.

That's a good move by TNA. And if it doesn't rule out more appearances in ROH (which it shouldn't at this point), it's even better.

By the way, Sonjay Dutt seems like an odd opponent for Joe. It's not that I think it'd be a bad match, but it sure seems like the WWE method of using cruisers as squash fodder to build up the bigger guys. Let's hope that's not the case.

A skilled, legitimate heavyweight? That's not 45 years old, or green as hell? Sounds like a good move to me. Whether or not they get good use out of Joe is up to TNA, but I'll take him over DDP, Kevin Nash, or any of the other WWE rejects that are out there right now.

Joe makes steady guarnteed money for now and perform on a semi-national stage. He can hopefully showcase his abilities and perhaps get a WWE shot down the road.

TNA gets a great wrestler who brings a huge rep. from the Indies and ROH. He carries that Into TNA so everyones a pretty good winner. I expect It will take him a few months to build his name to the fans of that product and when he does he'll be a serious X-Division type.
