Highlander, anime style!

Wow. I didn't even know this was in production.

It seems Yoshiaki Kawajiri (Ninja Scroll, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust), will be directing it. One of my favorite anime directors too.

When I first heard about this my reaction was, "You mean Mermaid's Scar?"

Anyways, it makes sense to do an anime version of Highlander, but it'll have to be pretty good to stand out from the crowd of samurai anime.

I'd hate for the Highlander franchise to die out. An anime seems like a great way to go for it. Really, there's only so much you can do with a TV or movie series when the main characters aren't suppossed to age. As long as there's no Planet Zeist, it'll have to be better than Highlander II.
