I am starting to get the feeling there is going to be a major shift with Batman after everything is all said and done. I think its pretty likely that he will probaly leave the Justice League over the whole mindwipe incident, but I am really thinking he is going to become a pariah among the rest of hero crowd after they find out about OMAC. It is one thing to think Bats is a control freak but quite another to find out that he has been spying on you for a long time and has all your personal info. That and the fact that he has now lost all that info to Checkmate and in effect given them the means to take down any hero around I don't think is going to set well with anyone who calls themselves a hero in the DCU. I mean Blue Beetle has already been killed in around about way because of what Bats started, and I think there will be a few others before it is all done. I can see a whole lot of heroes fianly getting sick of the way Batman has been and jsut refusing to deal with his crap anymore.
Whats everyone else think?
I'm hoping that he won't be so jerky. I actually think that DC has been making Batman move away from his allies for a reason. I don't know how it will play out, but I expect change his mind about how he's been acting lately.

I for one went and read Countdown to Infinite Crisis again and it was Checkmate that killed Blue Beetle, not Batman.

Yes, but I think he was getting at the fact that he got killed because the information was gotten by Batman then Checkmate stole it (so he is kind of responsible, same as in ToB).
I agree that they are taking Batman away from the rest of the heros for a reason. One of the poeople I talk to online said that he thought DC would kill Batman.
While I don't think they will kill him I agree that he will become a pariah. I'm not sure the heros want to destroy Batman. He does serve a purpose that they cannot ignore.

Beetle would have never been in that situtation in the first place if Batman had said something to BB when he went to him about what was going on and OMAC. Bats let BB go in blind after a group that had control over something he designed to be able to take out even Superman without so much as word. That to me makes Bats at least partialy responible for not filling BB in. I'm sure Batman figured out real fast after BB mentioned OMAC that he was locked out of it and that it could be in someone elses controll.
I think the reaction Bosster Gold had in OMAC 2 is going to be pretty common with alot of the heroes of the DCU once they all find out how far Batmans paranioa had gotten. It is one thing to spy on people you didn't trust, but another thing altogether to spy on everyone regardless if he had a reason or not.

Blue Bettles death is a direct result of Batmans inaction.
Example:
If you are lost and you need directions to get home. If I tell you to go down an alley, and I know that there are a bunch of gang member down that alley and you get hurt.... No I din't do it but I am culpable. In law, the term is: if not but therefore. It means If not but for your action/inaction this would not have happened, therefore you bear responsibility.
If you don't buy that argument, then ask Peter Parker what happens when you can do something to stop someody and don't. By choosing not to say anything Bats is responsible, in part, for what happened
This is just another person dead due to Batman.

I think that if we look at his hints that he has been dropping and do a little creative thinking on our own we will be in for a treat. My theory is now that the original Secret Society is back with their minds intact things are going to get a bit tough for Mr. Wayne. His identity will become public and he will be cast out of the super hero club because of all the mistrust. But remember Bruce has always believed that Batman is more important than Wayne so the crusade will have to carry on. As we know it will be a big year for Nightwing and Didio has also said that when we see the time-jump there will be some new people under the masks. I think that Wayne will ask Nightwing to step in as he becomes a very public Bruce Wayne. It might not happen exactly like this but I bet that it will be close.

Blue Beetle died becuase he was involved in something he shouldn't have been. There was a reason Batman didn't tell him anything about what was going on: Batman didn't want BB involved. If, and this may sound cold-hearted, Blue Beetle hadn't have gotten involved, he wouldn't have died. Batman was in NO way responsable for Blue Beetle's death.
But then again, if he hadn't, there wouldn't be a story. :p

First of all Spiderman sucks and the movies sucked as well.

I fail to see any resemblance. What is this, Slashdot? Did Batman become the Microsoft of the superhero world? Where does it say that he was supposed to know that Beetle would get killed? What is he, a prophet? No one could have expected Blue Beetle would get killed. Not even Batman knew what he was up against. If we're going down that road, then why not say Atom is responsible for Sue Dibny's death? He let her have access to his costumes. Besides he was married to her, didn't he have time enough to find out she was a headcase?
Oh, and name someone killed because of Batman.
