The Rumor is DC will jump ahead a year
All DC titles, When the jump happen some new people may behind the mask, status Quo would be change, books canceled, new books added, etc etc
While we much not judge befor the book comes out..lets face its fun. So lets get the gripes and predictions of doom out of the way
So what would be your worst case scenarios for Infinity criss
1) Batman is now Dick Grayson- Old Bruce Wayne was killed by some of the Super buddies out of Revenge. This will not only drive home bruce being an ahole but also furture piss on Grifften Leauge..Two For Two baby. Furtunly 5 years later bruce will be back in Batman rebirth where all his acting badly would be blame on a Blue Ahole monster
2) Through the year, Wonder Woman would of lost to Superman about 50 times, A new woman takes the Wonder woman mantle, Diana now a houswife in mysteria Lane. The Wonder Woman is HARDCORE now
3) Superman become Xtreme, with a Goatee, He would dump Lois after she turns nuts, Digs up Sue Digby grave, put her in a lazurus put and then Kill her again. Superman would now be dating Maxima
My worst case scenario: That DC's book will continue to be badly written.

1. Tim Drake becomes the new Blue Beetle. That would kind of be anti-climatic.
2. Maxwell Lord is the real (To Quote the Buffy-verse here) Big Bad of all this. I like this new Max as a hard-core bad guy, but I don't want him to be pulling all the strings.
3. All the heroes become friends again at the end of the day. I don't want them all going back to the house saying, "man I'm sorry what I did, lets get ice-cream and watch a sex and the city marathon." I want all these guys to hate each other. I want them not to all trust each other.
4. Nothing done with Aquaman. I still think for some reason he is going to be a linchpin in this thing. I mean, from J'onn telling him off in Aquman, to J'onn and the league telling him to sit on the sidelines, when they fought the CSA, to somebody destroying San Diego and making it Sub-Diego, he is having a rough couple of months. I hope he is written into the bad-ass he should be.
5. Team Arrow vs. Deathstroke sucks. This is the fight I'm waiting for. I can't wait to see if Ollie, Conner, Roy, and Mia can beat Slade.
6. The Villians United crew, vs. Catman and the mysterious "Mockingbird". Who is it? Hope the pay-off is good.

I'm sorry, but what fun is it if all the good guys don't like each other?

That's what I've been wondering too and it's exactly why I dislike reading DC books lately. It's all unfun and depressing.

Worst case scenario:
Booster Gold is killed.
Guy Gardner loses his ring again somehow.
Max Lord kidnaps Oberon and has him sodomized and killed.
Sue Dibny is brought back to life to kill her again.
Keith Giffen is transformed into a comic character and killed.
Basically, the entire JLI era is used as fodder for other characters dramatic moments. It's "jobbed" out to use a wrestling term.
Batman, not Booster, gets a story about the Beetle dying.

Wally West or Jay Garrick die... the speedsters never fare well in these Crisis events...

If Geoff Johns wasn't writing the thing, I'd be worried about the JSA, given how they fared in CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS and ZERO HOUR.
As it is, I think the worst case scenario is that the DCU remains a dark, sullen, paranoid, joyless mess and that the JLA (past and present) is front and center, misery-wise.
Well, that and the bad writing thing. The two kind of go hand-in-hand, as far as I'm concerned.

The Green Lanterns get jilted out of what happens to be the bright spot of the DCU at the moment. WAAAY too soon for any tragedies among the GLs.

-There are no mystries left to stew a while after the one year jump. I know some people might get annoyed if they don't find out what happened during the missing year right away, but I hope some things are left in the dark for a good year or two at least.
-Dick Grayson becomes robin again. I've heard this as a rumor and I hope it doesn't happen, Dick is just.. to old and too experienced to go back into bats shadow, and I like Tim way too much.
- Every change gets retconned away...... in the first year afterwards. I hate when changes to the status quo just dont stick, even ones i didnt really like. (especially Hal Jordon, he should die again, during the one year gap and never have his death explained)

If only they had the balls to do that.

My worst case scenario: The crisis is just an excuse to kill the remaining JLIers and popular 2nd string JLers from the Satellite era. The Big 7 status quo remains unchanged. Chuck Austen or Joe Kelly announced as new full time writer of JLA.
The past year and a half has been pretty putrid as far as the JLA goes. At this point, the status quo would be the worst things possible. I can't believe I actually want things to change.

Black Canary is dead and Gail Simone is off Birds of Prey.
Other than that, I'm expecting the worst and so divorcing myself from the DC universe until it all shakes up. To say nothing of the fact that if this is a good tale, despite my doubts, the trades will be cheaper.
Umm...I really wouldn't like to see Nightwing back being Robin but since I'm not reading NW anymore, it's not a huge hit.

Worst case is that the DCU becomes readable but just barely. If anything truly awful happens, you can just drop the book and leave, but if it just interesting enough to keep you reading, but bad enough to boil your blood, that's when it sucks.
Alternatively, some sort of drastic change occurs that you hate, but everyone else loves and is successful... meaning that change is cemented and you'll just have to live with it.

My fear? DC writers are all forced into a contrived continuity/marketing driven event that does not fit with their own visions and quality suffers from that.
But what are the odds of that?

I tend to just roll with the punches... no point in getting worked up about things I can't change... in a perfect world HOPEFULLY post IC Jason Todd and Hal Jordan will both be dead again.
So my worst case is they are not.

The Rumor is DC will jump ahead a year
You think DC would have learned after the 5 year jump in Legion of Super-heroes back when Keith Giffen was doing the title in the late 1980s. Say it ain't So! this could be my worse case scenario. The entire DC Universe following a failed plot device from old Legion of Super-heroes. It could be worse, there are even more awful LSH plots to be recycled.---Later it is revealed that the entire twenty years of DC universe continuity since crisis of infinite earths happened in a pocket universe created by the time trapper. And ta-da we are back safe and sound on earth 1, earth 2, etc.

Biggest fear...
1. one, two or all three of the Big Three get killed off or replaced or justr ruined.
If its Superman I stop collecting DC the same day.
2. DC starts focusing too much on second or third stringers that I don't give a cr*p about making them overly imprortant, abandoning or replacing more mainstream Characters that I don like reading about.

My worst-case scenario? The JSA gets trashed and thrown away...AGAIN. :P
Second-worst scenario? They get dragged down into all the corruption and misery and angst, instead of being able to keep their heads above it as they have been so far.

You and me both.
Booster Gold is killed.
I would weep bitterly for days.

So what would be your worst case scenarios for Infinity crissMy worst case scenario is that I'll still be reading DC comics. I'm trying to wean myself off of them now, Batgirl is the only DC-proper book I read, and will hopefully be done with that by the time IC hits. My worst case scenario is that I'll still be here in a year griping about things I cannot change.

Golden Eagle is Hawkman with Carter reincarnated into his body
Sasha becomes the New Blue Beetle
Bruce Wayne becomes the new Oracle
Dick Grayson turns down the mantle of the Bat and becomes some new character only to be killed by Lex Luthor.
Guy Gardner leads the JLA
Tim Drake becomes Nightwing
Captain Marvel is killed off, leaving Capt Marvel Jr as the one to keep Superman honest

Although that would be really funny!
Beetle: "Why are we saving the world again?"
Booster: "Apparently, people liked us more than Superman and the other big guys."
Beetle: "Wow. Bad call on their part."
Booster: "No kidding. What I'd like to know is: how are the two of us supposed to stop the Injustice Gang from taking over the world?"
Beetle: "Max hired some guy named Giffen who is supposed to figure that out for us."
Booster: "The Griffen? Never heard of him. Must be new to the super-hero biz."
Beetle: "No. Giffen. No 'r'."
Booster: "What kind of super-hero name is 'Giffen?' Does he even have any powers?"
Beetle: "Apparently, he's a writer."
Booster: "Pfft. Writers don't know anything. He'll probably want me to shoot my blasters at them while you run around trying to 'out think' them. We'd be just as effective if we went right up to Luthor and stuck our tounges out at him."
Beetle: "So, should we just give up right now and go get a burger?"
Booster: "Yeah, I know of a Big Belly Burger close by. Let's go!"
