what did you really think of the final star wars film, revenge of the sith, now that all the hype had disipated and the smoke has cleared, was it hit,or was it miss,or are you conflicted on the matter?

It for the most part was a dissapointment. It did have its redeeming moments. All in all I'm indifferent.

Loved it. Easily the best of the prequels but it may even be better than the originals. I will have to watch it at least ten times to tell whether it really stands up to Empire and A New Hope but the fact that it's a possibility is pretty impressive. In fact, I do think that the actual story being told here is simply the most compelling of all of them - the only thing is whether or not the superior will stand up to the superior characterisation of the originals. Don't missunderstand me, it was a very obviously flawed movie and looking at it from a more critical, objective stand point, I wouldn't like it half as much. As it is, these flaws - though noticable - actually don't hurt the movie all that much for me at all. Awesome flick.

Can't be. The name Timothy Zahn was nowhere to be found. Aaron Allston, neither.

I loved it. Minor nitpicks of course, but much less than the last two movies, even though I liked them as well.

It was okay. All of the interesting stuff happened in this movie and I like Ian McDiarmand performance (before he become all scaly and gross) and Ewan MacGregor was cool in this one. But for the most part it felt like most of the characters were just playing along with the script making any rational decisions based on their character (Anakin turning, Yoda leaving the fight with the Emperor). It looked great and I dug most of the action setpieces. I just couldn't get involved with the story for the most part.

Still better then the last two but nowhere as good as any of the original movies. Even Return of the Jedi.

So put me in the indifferent category.

I freakin loved it!! Best of the prequals and I think even ranks up there with the originals. Can't wait to see it again for the third time. :D

Loved it. Thought it redeemed the first two films and it is up there with the last 3.

I selected 'Loved It'.

But I more 'Liked it alot' then loved it.

I loved the original 3. I liked the ep 1 and 2 but I liked ep 3 a lot.

I really liked it. Lucas managed to make this one more that flashy shit on screen like Ep 2, and pulled a little bit of acting out of the actors, unlike Ep 1 & 2 (not a lot of acting, but a little). I rank it just behind Ep 4 & 5.

I liked it. It was tons better than I & II, not as good as IV & V and about even with VI.

But III could have had Lucas standing in one spot and pissing on a DVD box set of the original trilogy for 2 hours and it would have been better than I & II.

I chosed "loved it". It was my second favorite, after Episode V.

While the Anakin turned seemed really fast, Yoda going into exile doesn't really make much sense now (thanks a lot, Grant!), and the extreme use of the cliched "Star Wars wipes" were annoying, I still really enjoyed this movie. It probably helped that I had very low expectations going in after AOTC. And it certainly helped that an uncredited playwright "polished" Lucas' script (which I imagine means he completely rewrote the dialogue while leaving in a few Lucas lines like Anakin's "From my point of view you're evil.")

All in all, definitely better than TPM and AOTC, defintiely worse than TESB and ROTJ, and possibly, but not probably, better than ANH.
