We over at the Pipeline Board are starting a kind of BotI book club where we will try to read 1 volume by every other week in order to help us each catch up with all 14 volumes. Anyone interested in checking it out can take a look at the thread HERE (http://forums.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?t=62253). I suppose the more participants the better!

The 1st volume isn't gonna be talked about until June 23rd, so you've all got time to hit your local shop for the book if you haven't tried it yet. And as someone who has read the first 13 trades, if you like samauri action then you've GOTTA check this title out!

I read the current issues (though I'm a little weary of them at the moment) and have the first two collected volumes on hand, so I might check it out. However, I'm sure your schedule is too ambitious and costly for me to keep up. Good luck with it anyway.

I'd be interested to know which books are most relevant to the current stories or just most essential or unique for the experience overall, but I'm sure you'll get into all that over time.

i seem to pass this title and almost grab it every week at the LCS - what do you think of the current issues?

Well, I bought vol 14 but haven't read it yet. I'm gonna wait until I get back up to that volume, and since vol 1 is due this week I won't get there for a few months! :eek:

ha well keep me posted on what you think... i figure i just need a little pushing to give this title a try - either by jumping in w/ the new issues or reading back some trades.

Oh, I love this series and totally think that not only should you give it a try - but that trades are the way to go. The first 4 volumes are just awesome! Then it slows down a bit, and then when it picks up it just goes CRAZY!

Check out Dark Horse's site for quick free previews of just about every volume and keep checking in on our thread! :D
