Nope.

With the exception of Cassie Lang, all of them first appeared in YOUNG AVENGERS #1.

They were mentioned in Runaways #2 or 3 (Vol.2, btw) and obviously Cassie was in Avengers, A-Next and FF.

So the Patriot didn't appear in Truth at all? I don't have access to my comics to check myself.

There were a few group shots of Isaiah's kids and grandkids, so it's possible that one of them was Eli. Although if so, he was never mentioned by name or singled out.

No. He isn't there. There was a shot of three girls, Stephanie and two unnamed daughters, and a much younger boy named Letigious. None of them could have possibly been Eli, unless his injury involved a sex change.

It would account for the blood loss... ;)

What injury?

What injury?
The injury in the fight which necessitated his transfusion, where he got his "powers".

Remember how the Patriot got his powers? He said he got in a fight, and lost a lot of blood, used his Grandfather's because it was a match.

EDIT: I started the post before Gaz answered, and then walked away for a moment. Sorry Gaz, didn't mean to step on your toes, so to speak.

Although I saw a great value of picking up The Truth #1-4, 7 on ebay, and I checked out the #5,6 were available at my local comic shop, I have successfully avoided spending any more cash this month. (I'm saving it up for House of M, cause everythings going to get changed again...)
But please tell me if I was wise to avoid shelling out almost $20 for this seven issue mini.
Do I already know all I need to know about Patriot and his grandfather????

It's worth cover price, but that's about it. It's a somewhat entertaining story, but was a bit preachy. I liked the premise more than the actual execution.

But this is just my opinion. Go to Borders and sit down and read the TPB if you're not sure.

I liked Truth also... the story anyway. The art wasn't suited for the type of story Truth was.

I'm also glad that it's being acknowledged in continuity.

You might want to also pick up the last issue of The Crew, which details the life of Patriot's uncle, Josiah X.

Actually, it is issue #5 of THE CREW, not the final issue (#7) that tells Josiah's story.

And who is Josiah? (I haven't read Truth since it came out and my copies are 3000 miles away... :( I miss my comics! )

Josiah is the son of the black Cap from the TRUTH. He also has superhuman abilities, and is more-or-less an adult version of Patriot.

Dude save your money the entire series can pretty much be summed up in its premise.
