Well, as the title implies, post the worst nightmare you've ever had.
My worst dream was probably one when I was one of the few humans left on earth (or at least the area I was in), and we were fighting a horde of zombies, that gravely outnumbered us, even through my tactical planning, we were loosing humans to the zombies quickly, untill I was the only one left, and cornered in a small building... Then I'd wake up.

Last night I encountered a new kind of nightmare. It didn't wake me up, but it left me dead tired today. I dreamt that I was trying to design a circuit that would test whether or not The Hush arc in Batman a couple of years back was a good series or not. I don't think I ever completed the circuit, but I remember being very intent on building it. It was, and is, exhausting. That's pretty much the worst dream I've had to date.

Strange, my worst nightmares could never pull double duty as an Octorber-release horror flick.
My worst dreams always involve things that are personal, not external things coming after me.

Due to my overactive mind and love of spicy food, my brain has truly kicked up some doozies in recent years...
- After the Daniel Pearl beheading and the string of the other U.S. hostage incidents, I had a dream that I was an American hostage in the middle east. I was in a room with 2 other men (all of us just in our tighty-whities) and we were then taken outside. I was told to kneel down on the ground facing a concrete wall. A man whispered in my ear, "Don't scream", before taking ahold of my left testicle. I then thankfully woke up.

My worse nightmares were when I was a kid and would involved a loved one dying like my grandma, my mom or my pet,.

Probably the one where I was being raped.
But I've only had maybe 5 nightmares in the past 15 years. I'm lucky.

The one where I was attacked by the ghost of HP Lovecraft.
Kicked him in the nads, though.

Serial killer hunting all of my family and friends down one by one. Despite the killings, all of my remaining family and friend were too stupid to go into hiding (despite my best pleas) and thus continually were killed one by one. Somehow, the killer was leaving clues for me to find on the internet and I tracked him down to this house where I used to live and I was about to enter the house and then I woke up.

I drempt that the jungle camp where I was living was stormed by a yeti who killed everyone.
What a yeti was going in a jungle was not something I was able to ask it at the time.

It was a long dream but I can't remember a whole lot about it. What I did remember scared the crap out of me. I was walking down a highway in the country and there was no sign of life. No people, no cows, no birds, no bugs. Just empty houses and farmland. I my dream I knew the reason was because a race of giant monsters were attacking everybody all over the world, but I can't remember what kind they were supposed to be.
I came across a farm house with a girl wandering around outside. She was wide-eyed and scared. I was just glad to see someone. Before I could ask where her parents were, the ground began to shake and we heard loud, rythmic booms in the distance. I grabbed her up and ran in the house. I ran around franticlly turning off lights but the giant foot steps kept getting closer. I grabbed the girl and tried to hide behind a couch. I looked up and there was a huge eye glaring in the window.
That's the last part I remember.
I also dream about being in tornadoes a lot. Not in a recurring dream, but, a recurring theme in my dreams.
Probably the one where I was being raped.
But I've only had maybe 5 nightmares in the past 15 years. I'm lucky.
Oh I LOVE that dream!
Uhm...I mean...uh...hmm.
heh.

The worst nightmare I ever had really shook me up for a few days and made me analyze some things. I was at work and I got up from desk and noticed that every body was gone. I thought something was wrong so I went outside to make sure everything was ok. When I stepped out of the door, the sky suddenly turned completely black. Suddenly a voice boomed outloud. It was so loud. I knew immediately it was God. And it said "Judgement is upon you". And then I woke up. Scary stuff. I'm sure if it was analyzed it would say something about me. :)
My worst nightmare was Bush getting elected then RE elected! *shudders*
*hugs*
There, there, that's just crazy, no-one's gonna vote for that idiot twice... Hold on...*pinches self*
I'm not waking up! ARGGHHHHH!

I've had those too. Where you feel like everything is ending and you are going to die or be left behind. Sometimes these are very serious for me, and sometimes they are comical.
One time I had a dream that the world was ending and I couldn't find the right clothes before it happened. Another one was much more serious where I saw everyone that I loved go away and I was left behind.
Very surreal when you wake up.

OK, I'm in a jail cell with a dirt floor. I know there's SOMEthing under the ground. I keep trying to convince the guard to let me out. Instead, he comes into the cell with me, and starts poking at the ground with some kind of metal thing. All of a sudden, a tenticle shoots out of the ground and grabs him by the head... and I woke up screaming.

Take this dream here, switch the words Serial Killer with "Barney the Purple Dinosaur." and replace internet with "Notes written in either red nail polish or my family's blood." and there you have my worst nightmare.
Last one I ever had, too. I was seven when I dreamt it and haven't had a bad dream since. I also seemed to have had a head fever when I woke up from it, so, maybe that had something to do with it.
