Awww, the Jean Bomb. The first appearance of that oh so many years ago was so funny.

Uncanny #461 looks great, can't wait for it. Love seeing Mojo again, especially when he's well written. And loved his commentary on his 'X-Cast'. And the 'Jean Bomb' is just classicly funny. :D

excellent wolverine preview.
hadnt spiral and mojo parted ways by her last appearance (im guessing excalibur, where she was one of the crimson dawn)?

Wow.

hadnt spiral and mojo parted ways by her last appearance (im guessing excalibur, where she was one of the crimson dawn)? I bet Claremont is ignoring everything Mojo and Spiral have been in since the 80's and picking up from where he last wrote them.
Anyone got a problem with that...?

I predict something Dazzling will appear in 461.

That dude can draw a great mojo.

+ I dunno where I stand on Logan playing Iron Giant.

When did Nocturne develop the ability to teleport?

I'm not too sure about some of this- the dialogue is funny, the art looks great (not liking Rachel's "shadow" form, though, it makes her look like mystique with short hair)- but it's a hard sell that five people with ranged attacks (Storm, Marvel Girl, Nocturne, Psylocke and Bishop) and one teleporter (Nightcrawler) can all be blocked by Spiral

hahahahahahahahahahhahahahahha. The Jean Bomb. I love that. That must really really tick off Rachel. Looks really good.

Dazzler is probably going to be showing up for this as a set up for New Excalibur, but I dont know about Longshot, though. Probably not. :(

Can Spiral really take all of the X-men on like that?

And is Nocturne an X-man?

I think it's an art error. That was probably supposed to have been Kurt. Oh well, maybe she just ate something that disagreed with her. :)

I don't have a problem with her taking them on so well. After all, if they were able to beat her right off the bat, we'd have no story.

As for Nocturne, in her reality I believe she is. Here, no. :)

I wouldn't. That said, unless I'm misremembering, she was back working with Mojo in the "So Lame" Exiles arc, which was Mojo's last appearance. So while there may be some ignoring going on, it wasn't on Claremont's part (who, no matter what else people may say, is always pretty good about respecting other people's stories).

Not that it matters... Mojo is such a powerful sorceror, and Spiral so inextricably linked to him, she could never truly escape him for long. And she's never been happy working with him, she's just got a fatalistic approach to it; if you have to, have some fun with it.

Spiral was really rita anyway right? SO its not like, if she was not being manipulated, she would be working with him. It stands to reason if he can make her work for him once he could do it again. I just want to see Major Domo

Plus i dig the "didnt i make that face line" as a heads up to the original transformation story

I like how Spiral is sarcasticly insulting with Mojo, just like Ann Nocenti used to write her. I always thought CC's Spiral was too serious.

Great looking stuff. UXM is sooo amazing right now, and Mark Millar is such a diabolical badass.

The last time the "Jean Bomb" appeared, Claremont was poking fun at DC's Invasion! with the aliens gene bomb. This time, I believe Claremont is just poking fun at the absurdity of Phoenix has become with other writers...
Mojo is perfect for the Jean Bomb though...

Pretty amazing that Psylocke is somehow immune to Spiral's spells, which has been established as pretty high level sorcery. Curious indeed. :)

Seems she was only immune to the transformation spell, as Spiral's other spell stopped her in her tracks. It might be that her body is immune to that kind of manipulation (de-aging) because it's already been manipulated, having been ressurrected.

Another theory: maybe her new body is only a few days old, so it can't be regressed. It may not be her original body that grew up from childhood, but a completely new one constructed as an adult from the get go. So if Spiral's de-aging spell is actually working, and it's regressing her to a younger age, maybe Psylocke's youngest age is full adulthood.

I'm just thinking out loud...

I never really liked Longshot, Dazzler, and Minor Domo much.
I'm not sure why I really like Major Domo though.

Juggernaut will be a member of New Excalibur along with Captain Britain, Dazzler, Peter Wisdom, Nocturne, & Sage. The Hellfire Club will be prominent in New Excalibur.

I'm hoping to obtain UX-Men #461 this Friday if it's available and if
it doesn't rain. I think the Jean Bomb alone is worth getting it !
