And now for a bit of trivia I wanted to share up when I Trey Gunn's name mentioned...

Interestingly enough Gunn did not actually play a bass while with KC even though he plays the group's bass parts. Nor has he played a regular guitar or bass in several years. When he came to the group he was playing a stringed touch instrument known as the Chapman Stick (http://www.stick.com/) (also played in the band by bass virtuoso Tony Levin) and later switched to a similar instrument known as a Warr Guitar (http://www.warrguitars.com/). Apparently the way these instruments are set up someone can play both bass parts as well as rhythm and lead.
