Since music is so important to my everday life i figured i'd ask some other people. What are some cd's that are essential to your survival? I mean you gotta hear these cds at least once a week, or maybe once a month. For me they are:
They're only chasing safety - Underoath
Dookie - Greenday
Nevermind - Nirvana
Neon Ballroom - Silverchair

Pink Floyd - Piper at the Gates of Dawn
Pink Floyd - Meddle
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon

I'd miss "Fly Shit" (by Playa Fly), "OK Computer" (by Radiohead), "This Is A Long Drive For Someone With Nothing to Think About" (by Modest Mouse), "Endtroducing" by DJ Shadow, and "Real Dealizm" (by Young Lo), but the three best albums from my four favorite artists/groups is all I need.

thats tough...there are so many CDs that i listen to constantly, but for this instance i'll select a few that i would hate life without:
-t. rex- electric warrior
-alice cooper- box set (i'll just choose the set because it's career spanning and it's easier than choosing single albums)
-hammerfall- crimson thunder
-the who sell out
-metallica- first four albums
-pretty boy floyd- leather boyz
-gnr- appetite
-the clash- s/t us version

I can't live without new music. That's the only thing I need to be happy. There are no specific CDs that I have to listen to once a week.

That's about how I feel too. I think I'm addicted to new music. I don't stay with any one album for long enough for it to become part of my "survival", I'm always moving on to new things.
But what I do need at least once a week is silence, or as close to it as I can get. As much as I love music, I need to give it a break sometimes and just be reminded about how things sound without it.
