I'm not sure of the correct term but has the "coding" for the CBR Forums changed just recently? I mainly surf the web via a restricted system and just recently I have been denied access because of how the forums are "coded/catagorized".

To my knowledge, the coding of CBR has not changed recently. Are you be restricted on your personal computer or is this a work computer that may have had certain sites blocked?

I have never had problems before except with "personal" websites and "chat" sites. CBR Forums is now considered to be under the chat designation. I know the domain was just re-registered (http://forums.comicbookresources.com/showpost.php?p=1389644&postcount=3) maybe something was done differently this time?

It sounds like the filter system at your place of work has changed with an updated list of sites so it now includes CBR. There is not much we can do about that.

I wonder how I could possibly convince them CBR is for research purposes? Hmm?
