Which superhero does Batman have the most respect for?

pre-Crisis: Superman
post-Crisis: Mr. Terrific II
Wonder Woman? I've just noticed that she's the only one whom he doesn't seem to have a condescending attitude with.

I dunno that I'd agree with that. There's no Batman/Terrific comic out there. ;)

I'd say Superman. Then my second choice would be Wonder Woman. Batman doesn't have that much of a condescending tone to either of them.

Superman is the obvious answer, but I think he may respect J'onn J'onnz a little bit more.

One of my favourite parts about Giffen and Dematties' JUSTICE LEAGUE was the relationship between Batman and J'onn J'onzz. J'onn was pretty much the only one on the team that Batman respected and liked. That makes a lot sense: both of them are manhunters, both had lives touched by tragedy and J'onn had been fighting crime even longer than Bats.
I loved the back-up story from a JUSTICE LEAGUE annual where J'onn and Batman team-up to solve the murder of J'onn's old police partner. There's a moment where Batman realizes he's just crossed paths with the Martian Manhunter, and J'onn catches a brief psychic glimpse of Batman's happiness at the discovery. Beautiful stuff.

Martian Manhunter, hands down. Yeah, during the JLI years, J'onn was Batman's link back to the good ol' days, the fellow veteran he could roll his eyes with when the newbies started bickering.
But more seriously, I think J'onn manages to combine elements of Superman's and Batman's respective characters -- the tragic loss of family yet a hero's hope for the future -- and that really appeals to the Dark Knight.

If memory serves Batman several times has outright stated that there is no one on Earth he respects more than Superman!

Superman and Wonder Woman. Like everyone else mentions, he doesn't tend to talk down to them like he does everyone else.

Martian I'd believe, it also shows in the preview of an upcoming JLA issue when
After the JLA reveal to manhunter the truth about the mindwiping etc he heads straight for batman in hopes of rectifying it
Also think that after IC events its probably WW and Manhunter coz he'll lose respect for those who did it/ knew but didnt tell
