Uncanny X-Men question

Uncanny X-Men #462 starts on a new arc as far as I can tell but that's a month away and I need my X fix seeing as AXM is taking it's sweet time.

How many issues did the latest story arc cover? I'll pick em' up when possible. Thanks alot.

EDIT: After a short search, it looks as if 460 and 461 was a two part. I may need to read up a bit of back story on the some of the characters but I guess I could just grab those two issues. Feel free to recommend anything else.

Only 460 is out so far and its a pretty good starting point when I think about it... it gives a good grasp of the majority of characters and mentions most subplots.

5th arc: 455-459

6th arc: 460-461 <<<<<current arc. 461 comes out soon

7th arc: 462-465 IIRC

Yup, i'm using it to jump on having wandered away during the hellfire and savage land arcs. Claremount uses this issue to tie in enemy of the state and endsong - even if it doesn't quite add up, i respect the effort, these kind of issues should appear between every few arcs just to keep continuity in line.

Cast: Storm, Nightcrawler, Bishop, Marvel Girl(Rachel), Psylocke, Wolverine, and X-23. Cannonball left.

Cameos:Each person from X-Men and Astonishing X-Men atleast once, Sebastion Shaw, Donald Pierce, Roberto DaCosta, Jay and Melody Guthrie, Evangeline Whedon, Savage Land Mutates, Viper, Courtney Ross(Sat-yr-9), Red Lotus, Selene, Alistaire Stuart, Spiral, Mojo, Nocturne, and Jean Grey(Holempathic Crystal).

I think thats it.

Yup, it has helped so thanks again.

The only issue I have is not knowing alot of the characters. AXM is the only X title I've ever read bar a few trades here and there.

Claremont usually does a good job of getting you too know people a few issues... a few which may confuse you:

Marvel Girl - Jean Grey/Cyclops daughter from a future timeline
Bishop - Cop from the future
Psylocke - Captain Britain's sister. Was put into an asian body.
X-23 - Wolverine clone
