Many important X-men deaths have been discussed, such as Psylockes and Colossus', and whether they should remain dead, or be brought back, etc.

What do you think of Nate Grey? Should he return? Stay dead?

FRICKIN YES HE SHOULD RETURN!!!!!!! There was no reason to kill him off in the first place. They wanted to end his book at 75, thats fine. But that doesnt mean that they should can him!! Technicaly, he is still alive, but...we dont really get to see him anymore... Things would be a lot better with him alive. He was truly one of the best non-CC creations.

I was a big fan of his, but i don't think so, mainly because i don't think it'd be handled well, or received well. If they wrote a killer of a ressurection that no-one could complain about, thats be rad :D

i totally disagree with Colosuss being brought back. he was dead for so many years why not let him go. he died for a good cause. Psylocke i don't think anyone really cares about because her back story was just so complicated...

I honestly could never, ever see the appeal of the character. No offense to those who liked him, more power to ya... I just never understood it, and never heard of a really strong story featuring him, at least not prior to Counter-X. I'm completely indifferent to his return... I wouldn't mind, as long as he doesn't pop up anywhere but his own title.

No; his series had its moments but that ride is over and I really doubt there's anything they could do with X-Man that they couldn't do with another character (i.e. Cable).

His presence also just contributes to the convolutedness of the X-universe.

Since Nate Grey is a part of every living thing on earth, he could very easily beat sublime if sublime got too out of control. :D

No. Easily my least favorite x-character ever. I don't like to use the word 'hate' when talking about a character, but if there was ever a character I could apply it to it would be Nate Grey. I thought he was a selfish, immoral, and uninteresting character that should have been left in the AOA. How his title survived 75 issues is beyond me.

Nah, especially not in his post-Shockwave mutant shaman form. I didn't mind him in his series' earlier issues. But then again, I would have read any book that was an offshoot from the AoA.

But as characters go, I think that over time he became one of the more uninteresting X-characters in the multitude that are X-characters.

Every thing Ryan Kirk said. There are way too many time travelling/ alternate dimension all powerful sons and duaghters of x-men already floating around for my taste as is. Besides he was a boring, alternate version of a character that I wish would go away forever.

X-Man is your least favorite x-character, is he even worse than Maggot?

As he was first created? No. I think he was a throw away character.

As the Shaman he was towards the end? I thought that idea had a lot of potential and I was rather enjoying it. That Nate Grey could easily be brought back and go off to his own series and not have to even bother with the rest of the X-Books.

He shouldn't replace Cable. Noone should. Just give Deadpool his own series...

No.

He was a perfect Cable...

And they still don't seem to know what to do with the first one...

I believe that Cable will return to being a toddler, and Rachel Summers will be just a possiblity in about 5-10 years..

Rachel and CC said it best.. She's hardly around when Mom comes home.

I believe hat both Cable and Rachel will sacrifice themselves in order to ensure that their futures never happen...

So, they can be born and raised to new possibilities..

Well, let me start off by saying I like Nate, he's a babe. But, his history and all is too mucked up to even think about bringing him back right now. One Nathan at a time, ya know?

Also, Bishop, I hope I'm not coming off like a goober, but Cable was born into this timeline, so he won't be born again. And I think it's probably safe to say Rachel's chances of being born in this timeline are non-existent. Most 'what ifs' and even in her orginal timeline she was concived on the butte in New Mexico- if that were true in this timeline as well, Jean was pregnant w/ Rachel when she commited suicide on the moon in the Dark Phoenix Saga. So fetus Rachel would have died too...

...on a related note- has anyone seen my pocket protector? :o

Convolutedness is a pretty lame excuse. There are a bunch of convoluted characters out there. Also Nate Grey didnt really effect or have contact with the regular MU later into the X-Man comic run(from what I can remember). I hope one day they will bring him back and continue the Shaman storyline and keep him out of all the other MU books. I really dont see a need for Nate to interact with the X-Men or other heros. Although Nate is somewhat "dead", I know the perfect way to bring him back. But I cant say so I wont jink it.

Psylocke i don't think anyone really cares about because her back story was just so complicated...A lot of people care about Psylocke. Im one of them, and you can easily find hundreds of others who do care. Does the fact that she has a complicated history provide a reason for her not coming back?

Besides a HUGE Sinster storyline, there is nothing I want more than Nate Grey to return and change everything for everyone like he was meant to.

Yes. Yes He Should Return. Yes.

And absolutely no BIAs on your part Nate! No siree! No bias at all!

But yes, I'd like to see him back. He was a pretty cool character with alot more stories to tell.

Nate Grey can go back to the Age of Apocalypse. The Madelyne Pryor (Nate's biological mother) & Nate Grey relationship should have never begun. That was just disgusting. I don't care how implied it all was.

No. He complicated things enough on this side of the AoA...

The only time I really liked his series was when he was actually profiled as the late teenager that he was, made me se his character a lot of difference in trying to get his character....

Not my least favorite , mostly thx to horrid characters such as maggott , Joseph and Marrow (same era , how weird....) .. however not so far .

Well i could bear him as a AOA important plot part ... but beyond that . ughh .
Why dont i like him ? Well for starters he was too powerful . Then his imo horrible look , i never saw him with a decent haircut .. his original one was already bleh then his last managed to even get worse . Last of all , his personnality . Imo he was an ass , managing to get onto the nerve of too many heroes , having too many trust issues , yet somehow being so gullible with the likes of Madelyne prior ...

Wasnt it revealed that she was messing with his mind? I'll have to go back and read the series.

Was it a lasting impact?

I'm being completely objective here. ;)

Exactly! His story wasn't "over" any more than Cable's was when he finally killed Apocalypse. There can ALWAYS be more stories to tell. He may never come back (I'm getting the impression no one even knows he's gone), but I'd welcome it if he did.

I always felt like he could be tied into the Exiles mythos. I mean as a Shaman of all the Earth's, he was essentially doing what the Exiles are currently doing, just on a more macro scale.

Plus, he'd have connections to Blink and Sabretooth to a limited degree.

I didn't collect his book, but he was a good character. But now with Cable being so powerful, is there a place or a need for X-Man?

When he emerged from AoA he was a genuinly interesting character. John Ostrander and Steve Skroce did stellar work for a few issues and I remember him being a sort-of Namor for modern times: spunky, immature and uber-powerful. He had quite a potential...before he was turned into a boring shaman.
