superman and batman TPB?

i was flipping through the new issue of superman/batman at my local shop and really like the art... is this a good title? is the writing any good? if so - should i just jump in w/ this new issue or get the first TPB??

I buy this book. But I buy it for two reasons. 1. I'm a Bat junkie. 2. I love the art. However the story telling is something else entirely.


If you are not a demanding reader, who likes your stories to make sense then by all means go for it. You might want to stick with the trades for now (if money is an issue). The third one covering issues 14-18 (?) was just solicited last month.
