Hi,

I only have a jpeg and cannot read the DC logo on Batman No.1. It's just under the "B" in the word Batman; a double circle with "DC" in the center, but I cannot read the small text in the outer circle. Can anyone help?

Also, toward the bottom, there is a box with something written in it to the left of Batman's foot. Is that Bob Kane's signature?

Excuse the dumb questions. Thanks for any info.

Aloha,

Rex

The logo says "A DC PUBLICATION"

And yes that is Bob Kane's signature

Google is a GREAT thing!

Thanks Shadow!

I had the jpeg, but just wasn't sure about the tiny text. Now that you point it out, I can sort of see the word "publication"

Thanks. :p

I believe that the top part of the circle says "Superman" and the bottom part says "National Comics" (the original name of DC Comics).

On Batman #1 the DC logo just reads "A DC Publication".

The "Superman/National Comics" logo was a bit later, as seen here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dc_comics#Evolution_of_the_DC_logo) .
