Goku vs. The Shrike

Both have superspeed.
Both can teleport.
One is a relentless killing machine with the skills of his universe's most accomplished warrior.
The other really likes food.

Can Goku take out the Shrike before he's shredded?

Honestly, can the Shrike even be hurt? I was under the impression that the entire point of the being was that...

It was created to convince humanity of the uselessness/impotence of God, which means that it is both unbeatable and infinitely cruel.

Anyhow, I'm inclined to give it to Goku because of sheer speed and firepower beyond anything the Shrike demonstrated. But with the Shrike's time-manipulating abilities it might get a bit complicated.

Pretty much. Since said debate, I have shifted my own views, and tend to place Shrike a little below Zoom II, but still easily fast enough to completely out blitz everything we have seen in DBZ.

The thing is, the Shrike isn't moving through the 3 physical dimensions, it is moving backwards through the 4th. Which basically means that it can go as quick as it wants to. Goku doesn't stand a chance in Hell before he's cut to ribbons. Its like putting Claire from Claymore up against a Karas; Claire has the range game and power down pat, but a Karas is so much more flexible and so many leagues faster that she'd be dead before the gong stopped sounding.

Same's gonna happen to Goku here.

Shrike got stabbed, but... pretty sure that was due to special circumstances
