Thought this might be of interest while we wait for the next issue of Samurai...

I absolutely loved the original Jonah Hex series (can't say the same for the Vertigo issues), so this is wonderful news as far as I'm concerned personally. :)

I am a bit concerned about what this means to Samurai: H&E, though. I was under the impression that Luke hadn't even finished the first SHE mini, and now he's already working on Jonah? I hope SHE readers don't have to wait forever to read the conclusion. In any case, it certainly doesn't bode well for a sequel in the near future.

What a bummer for Ron, though; he comes up with these two great concepts for creator-owned series at Dark Horse, and both the artists bail on him. :(

I'm sure the last part of Samurai is nearly complete.

I think that DC and others being so interested in Luke and others Ron's worked with shows the quality of what they are doing.

While it would be great to see them continuing to work on their own personal projects. It is a job and the best ones (at least pay wise) are on the corporate owned stable ones that the big companies have.

I'm sure even Ron is taking on projects not only from TC but the big two as well. Which hopefully will mean they can get back to their own stuff as well.

Sorry I've been out of touch. Just finished our move to NY, and a hellacious move it was.

Anyway ... yeah, gorgerous Hex stuff by Luke, huh? As for what this means for Samurai, it means Luke it taking a break to do Hex, and then there's more Samurai (more after issue #5, I mean) in our future. Can't tell you what, exactly, but you definitely haven't seen the last of Shiro.

Luke and I plan on working together quite some time, continuing on Samurai as well as a few other projects we've cooked up.
