Ultimates Movie/Feature Length Cartoon

I remember a while ago there was something going on about an Ultimates Animated Series/Movie.
Infact I also remember marvel had invited fans to send in audition tapes.
Does anybody remember this?
Does anybody have any idea whats gonna happen?

As far as I know, it's set for release at the end of the year or early '06.
