You should really read my updates in the music thread. I've been posting tidbits of information for while about the new CD.

(sweetie, I don't have time to read everything on here) I just wanted to post my own little tribute to the lovely Chris Cornell. Audioslave has turned out to be an awesome combination of him and the former RATM members.

Its a good album, not as good as their first, but decent nevertheless.

Have only given it 2 spins all the way through so far, but I think it's great.
Think I prefer the 1st one though.

I still don't get all those comparisons to Led Zeppelin that were made by the British music press.

Perhaps they were saying that they would go over like a lead balloon?

No, they were raving about them, especially their live show.

I like them a lot, and their live show was great when I saw them at a radio festival (the Soundgarden and RATM covers were surprisingly well done). I still feel that they could be doing something great rather than just good... and I wish Chris Cornell would do some more stuff like his solo acoustic songs. I guess I'd like to see them break temporarily after this record, have Chris do another solo record and/or a Soundgarden/Temple of the Dog reunion (hey, I can dream) and have RATM do an album with all guest vocalists (Chuck D, Thom Yorke, Bjork, you name it) and then come back with a one-two punch of a new, riskier Audioslave record and an album of covers.

The Led Zeppelin comparisons were a little out of line, but I haven't heard anything but good things about their live shows.

Got the new album. Having listened to it, I think I prefer the first one, but I'm going to see whether this one grows on me.

I'm getting this for my Birthday. Audioslave Is pretty much one of the best things to come from music In the last few years. All It took was Cornell and RATM Members hookin up! :)
