Favourite hank Pym costume identity...

i know this has pobably been done before but i'm curious who is ur favourite-YellowJacket,Ant-Man,Giant-Man or Goliath? i think that's all his identities if i have forgot one then let me know....

I like Hank as Giant-Man in the original costume.

i always loved the yellowjacket personality and the costume was great. he was good in the destiny war with the other older hank (giant man).

I liked to see him in a team-up with Rover and I liked it that he shrinked more often other things itstead of himself. It also showed that we was more of a scientiest/inventor instead of a superhero. I really liked that. It set him apart from the other Avengers.

On the other hand Yellowjacket never worked for me and Giantman wasn't my favorite either. Ant-Man was cool.

YJ will always be my favourite.Antman is cool too(though scott Lang was better in my opinion). Giantman's the most powerful i think. i dont think there is any difference between Giantman and goliath.

I love him working this way too. He had the elderly adventure hero written all over him. His Giant Man identity is a close second.

I like the Giant Man name, and the Goliath costume. That is the best. The Avengers Forever look was great.

Doctor Pym from WCA was the best Hank Pym though. He really was a classic sci-fi hero using gadgets in his jumpsuit and having no powers other than the ability to shrink and regorw items.

New idenity for hank "the tank" pym- Giant yellow ant goliath-man. his powers-a mixture of all the other ones.his costume-antman headgear,giantman/goliath's one of many costumes and YJ's black wing thingys. good idea?no i didn't think so.

It was like after having been all these costumed identities after all these years he was finally himself with a variation of the old Safari Wonderman costume. I like the way he was mainly the Avengers`scientist but the writer found a way to still make him useful as a super-hero too by having all these shrank objects in his multiple pockets. Pretty sweet.

Here's another vote for the jumpsuit. Inventive powers, and a costume that made tons of sense with those powers.

I see a great difference between the original Giant-Man and the Goliath period.
First, Giant-Man falls in Avengers Volume One from about issue #2 through 16.
Goliath makes his appearance in about issue #28 and runs from there through the Collector's appearance in about issue #52 or so, when Hank get's his growing powers back, and is no longer trapped at 10 feet. The shift in writing of his character is very obvious, as he becomes brooding, stuck at 10 feet tall from issue #28 onward, through about issue #40. This can be found in the Essential Avengers Volume 2, I think, which will cover these issues. It can also be found in Avengers Masterworks #38 which reprints issues #31-40 as I recall...not quite the whole run, nor does it include Wanda giving Goliath her newly sewn costume when he returns.

Personally, I always dug the original Goliath costume and prefered it over all others.... but they've tended to mix and match elements of all the costumes over time... for example, you'll find Goliath's goggles on a Yellowjacket costume eventually, etc.

And, just for the record, I always HATED the leather harness that Clint wore as Goliath II.... if only because it looked so much like a gay leather fetish outfit that I couldn't believe that ANYONE would dress like that and go out in public. IMHO! :eek:

Did anyone notice that Hank is back in House of M #1 in the Yellowjacket outfit? And Jan's there too, but I think it's in the wasp outfit from Avengers # 51-oh, I dunno, issue #92 of Volume One. :rolleyes:
