hi everyone. i'm an archie fan and something has been disturbing me deeply, of late. it seems as though archie comics has been slowly changing over to the dark side. they've just successfully completed assimilation of Sabrina comics into Manga.
as if that weren't enough, now they're attempting to assimilate Josie and the Pussycats!
i am outraged. an original...a classic... a staple of american nostalgia like archie ....forced by fickle fiends into the oblivion that is manga!? i won't stand for it!!
i call upon all archie fans and manga haters alike to join forces and write a short email to archie's editor victor gorelick. he has asked for feedback on this issue, so your opinion is important to the future of archie!

thank you for your support.

I know that labeling Archie as a "small press" or "indie" company is ridiculous. But the thread seemed to fit better here than on the Classic Comics board, given that it has nothing to do with old comics.

given that it has nothing to do with old comics.

Except that the poster wants Archie comics to remain like they did in the old comics, not the new manga ones. And the poster would probably find more sympathetic ears on the "Classic" board than the "Indie" board. But anyways...

I disagree with the original poster. I like Archie's manga-fied Sabrina comics. I buy the following Archie comics every issue: Archie & Friends, Betty & Veronica, B&V Spectacular, Jughead, Sabrina, Veronica, and Sonic the Hedgehog (the latter one for my nephew). I wasn't buying Sabrina regularly until they went to the manga style and I enjoy it much more. "Josie & The Pussycats" has been appearing in Archie & Friends each issue for the past few years (ever since the movie came out) drawn in the normal style. Now let's see what a manga version would be like.
