Hey, gang!

Just wanted to let all the Invincible readers know that I have some art coming up in the next few issues of Invincible.

First, Robert asked me to do an Invincible pin-up. It will run in Invincible #23.
My pin-up features Invincible with the Guardians of the Globe.

Second, Robert then asked me to draw a 3-page Monster Girl story for Invincible #25.
I just finished it and sent the pages out.

And for the Invincible completists, the Immortal makes a 1-panel cameo in my new WildGuard mini-series this July. Find him (and Zephy Noble) in WildGuard: Fool's Gold #2 (out July 20th).

In case you didn't know, WildGuard: Fool's Gold is a two-part bi-weekly mini-series. Both issues are completed, at the printer's, and ready to go!
That's right! An Image book is completely done and at the printer's ahead of time.
(Hey! I don't want the book to be late because of me!)

Visit
the WildGuard Official Site (http://www.wildguard.com) to learn more! Thanks!

We interrupt our normal posting scheme for the following piece of fanboy idiocy.

I will not buy Invicible #25 because of 3 pages of Nauck art... I will not buy Invicible #25 because of 3 pages of Nauck art... I will not buy Invicible #25 because of 3 pages of Nauck art...

Stay strong young padawan, stay strong... STAY STRONG I SAID!

Oh... what the hell! *makes note in his mind to buy Invincible #25*

We now return to our normal schedule.

Why aren't you buying Invincible already?

Money reasons?

I also tried the #0, but was pissed that it was not some introducing issue but spoiled everything that happened in the issues before it. Brilliant. Just brilliant.

haha!

That's a funny thing to get mad about.

Oh, GREAT! Now the world's going to come to an end. Thanks a LOT, Todd. :D

Seriously though, I'm looking forward to some more Wildguard goodness. You're helping put the fun in funnybooks!

That was the point. Kirkman himself said in an interview that #0 was a way for new readers to catch up with what was going on and start from that point. I myself had only read a few issues of Invincible before reading #0 and finding out what I missed. Didn't bother me. Read Invincible, it's good for you. :D

Um, the idea was that you could read that and just start buying from the next issue.
And not EVERYTHING was spoiled, there were lots of cool little character moments, like Monster Girl's power predicament. And the JLA parody issue.

Here's a sneak peek at the inked version of my pin-up. Pick up Invincible #23 to see the colored job!

Wow, I love that piece... though it does leave me wondering why Mark is, you know, walking. All the other flyers are in the air.

Still, doesn't take away from the FANTASTIC art. I cannot wait to see the coloured version!

Yep, that rocks, no doubt.

Judging from that picture... who else wants to see Todd doing an Atom Eve mini? :D

Not me. Sorry, Todd, but she just looks too "hard" in that shot, for my tastes anyway, Monster Girl and Mark look great, but Eve... not so much. Colouring might help, but I doubt it.

To me it looks like Eve is damn near naked!

That's arguably a good thing.

Really? I thought he nailed Eve but that Mark was a little off. He looks a bit too bulky and there's something up with his head... but Eve is my favourite from the picture.

Mark is a little more traditional "super" than I like, but I can deal with him being all bulked out, being the lead character and most powerful. The head is just the way he's gone on the mask I think.
I really like his Monster Girl, dead on. :)

Really? Because Monster Girl is the one thing I didn't like about the image, she looks way way too old, she should not have breasts and she's too tall. What age is her body at now? 9? 10?

In all I really like that image, Mr. Nauck has a perticular style that's unique and easy to identify, it's clearly his interpretation of the characters and shouldn't look like anyone else's.
