Steven,
Thanx fer the kind words concerning my contributions to 24 Hr All-Stars.
Truth to tell, "The Man Who Came to His Senses" was the only story I "wrote." The others were simply true stories from the Smith Family Archives ™©®, etc.
Why 24 HR comics? To go back to the beginning. You broke in before I did but, we both came in at a time when there was only one reason to do comics. It wasn't money or fame, and it sure wasn't the plethora of women. We did it for love, because the love we put into it was the only reward we could bank on. (Though 24 Hr All-Stars has provided sufficient funds for a couple of months of Dr.Pepper, Thanx Nat:D)
For 24 hours, I was a kid again. Staying up late, blasting tunes, smoking … well, never mind what I was smoking … working not for the man or the money, just me and the looks on Nat's and Scott's faces when I dropped off the book. Now THAT was fun.
Glad you liked it,
Happy Trails,
Smitty
