OK, the last three years there has been this massive multimedia blitzkreig of "The Clone Wars" building to Revenge of the Sith.
Basically, in real-time, there has been chronicles of this war, Videogames, cartoons, comics, kids books, and some good novels. It's almost been like coverage of an actual war going on somewhere.
Has anything like this ever been done before?
And wouldn't it be cool if they did it again: a new fictional sci-fi/fanstasy type war, being covered in real-time in differenct media? IMO, it doesn't even need to be tied to a movie. Just the campaign was fun enough.
I kept thinking that "Clone Wars" was in desperate need of a Harry Turtledove novel. I'd like to see him involved in some way if something like this ever went down again.
Anyone else have thoughts on this?
