View Full Version : Annie and Carter, pawns of Sinister?

At the end of Austens run Carter is conversing with a dissembodied presence. Could this be Malice or a Malice clone? Did Sinister not want Lorna and Alex together for a reason? Maybe their child would be to powerful and destroy the earth. I mean you never see Havoc's children from the future coming to see him. It's always Scotts kids coming back and mucking stuff up. This could also explain Xorneto. Sinister needed a powerful being to take out Jean. Previously Cyclops' children have been with a Phoenixless Jean-like-being. Maybe Sinister was afraid of what child of the Phoenix and Summers bloodlines could do. This could wrap up some dangling plot-threads and herald the return of one of the great X-Men villains.

Chuck Austen announced that he intended it to be Cassandra Nova. He was also intending to reveal that Carter's father is Magneto. Yes, it is that lame. Glad he was taken off before that happened.

What an artist/writer intends ceases to matter once it has been put in the public domain. It is then up to the public to interperate it in their own way. So while Austen may have intended for some lame ass revelations, another writer down the line could use what was presented earlier in a new way and bring back Sinister.
There are a lot of people at the mansion that have never dealt with Sinister and it would be great for a real baddy to come back. The return of Apocolypse though would probly put Sinisters return far in the future. Or maybe not. Maybe Apocolypse returns and Scott and Emma find the X-Men unable to defeat him. They have to make a deal with Sinister to gain a way to stop Apoc and it comes bak to bite him in the ass. But I guess I'm just rambling. I just think Sinister was/is a great character and feel he should be in the X-Books. Maybe when X-Factor starts back up :D

Nurse Annie and Carter will slip away into comic obscurity. With Austen gone, noone will want to dredge up those 'personal' characters of his again. Especially since Annie was based on Austen's wife. That's why they were written out of the book at the end of his run. Sinister will be playing a part in Excalibur, likely at some point after House of M. And Pocy is already on the list for a return in 2006.

Carter is really Onslaught, posing as the son of the nurse taking care of Havok so he could manipulate events to get him back into the X-mansion.

What he didn't expect was to run into Cassandra Nova, who sensed Onslaught and made him think he was really carter, until she got turned into Ernst herself and not a robot or disembodied spirit.

You think Magneto, at his age, would be unable to have anymore kids.

Considering he was de-aged into a baby, and then re-aged to the peak of his physical and mutant strengths, he's really only late 30's early 40's right now.

What I would not do to see Sinister back in the complete mix of things? I miss the world's greatest geneticist. :(

A bit sooner than that. Apocalypse is coming back TODAY in Cable and Deadpool.

DITTO~!~!!
but Pizza Man's got some good ideas...
Nurse Annie & Carter having ties with Sinister & Malice certainly beats the original "ideas" of Carter being Magneto's kid (WHAAAAAT??? Austen revealed LORNA to be a daughter of Mags already. Was Austen going to reveal that EVERY X-MEN except for the Summers to be Mag's children..!??!..
Magneto's 2ndary Mutation: Insemination by releasing spores...) and then bringing Cassandra Nova back right away.
Sheeeeesh~~!

Seriously. I guess he didn't get the memo that Cassandra Nova was Ernst. Myabe that was a bit too subtle for him to pick up on.

I find getting drunk accomplishes most things that really matter.

I liked the old theory that Carter influenced Lorna with his mental powers, pushing her further over the edge and driving her to do things like cheat on Alex so that Annie would look so much better by comparison. Considering how creepy it was that he sent Alex and Annie on romantic dates inside their heads, I thought it would make sense if Carter turned out to be a little twisted (or at least selfish and irresponsible with his power--he is still a kid, hellspawn or no).

I like the Sinister idea. It makes much more sense than Cassandra Nova. As for Carter almost being Magento's spawn....argh. Just argh.
