In honor of May 19, 2005 being "Star Wars Episode III Day", I'd like to ask people some things.
Do you know any Star Wars refences in other media. Right now, I have Mr. Burns being introduced by the Imperial March in a few Simpsons episodes, & the ending with Chewbacca as well as the credits in the Family Guy episode "Blind Ambition".

Heh. I think the real challenge would be naming a tv series in the last 20 years that hasn't referenced Star Wars at some point . . .

Oy......in this case I think it'd be best to go around online and find people who've done lists of references and such...
For example, here's most, if not all, of the Star Wars references made on The Simpsons (http://www.snpp.com/guides/starwars.html)

"Farscape" made about 248 direct references to Star Wars by John "Pop Culture Reference" Crichton.
(This is only an estimate)
The 7th season opener of Stargate SG-1 is ripped from Ep IV.

Is that the one where O'Neill wanted his callsign to be Red 5?
Kevin Smith's movies have some great ones, most notably the discussion about the morality of the Rebels destroying the the under-construction Death Star in Clerks.
Lots of movies have more subtle ones. Like kids in American Pie II calling out "Red Leader, Gold Leader, etc" with their walkie talkies.
There must be thousands of references throughout TV and Movies by now. I think the most common is something that harkens to "I am your father", or some reference to the Force.

I believe it was "Red Leader" but yes.
And Anubis' superweapon is basically a Death Star.
Every episode of Spaced has a reference or two.

The 1st Season Finale of That 70s Show was very based on Star Wars.
South Park has made numerous references, including Ewok Village 2000 and Kenny's Halloween costume getting taken down AT-AT style.

Cartman: I hope that one day America can be more like Endor. Where the Ewoks live. Endor is very cool.....they have crazed Ewoks and barbeques, which is why I like Endor more than America...

How can you bring up South Park SW references and not mention the Chewbacca Defense!

I rather like the episode of That 70s Show where Eric and Donna go for pre-marital counselling at their church and the minister is played by Billy Dee Williams, who tries to make everything an analogy to Star Wars, much to Donna's chagrin.

Here's (http://www.jedinet.com/references/ref-tv.asp) a pretty comprehensive list. My favourites would have to be the one from Scrubs were Cox & Kelso have a lightsaber fight & Clerks: The Animated Series were Randall puts George Lucas on the Stand to get back the money he wasted on seeing The Phantom Menace.

The tv series Spaced by Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead) was full of refs. This included direct links to merchandise, ep 1 slaughtering, paraphrased lines, codenames, watching the film and discussing it in relation to chaos theory before they get distracted by finding jaffa cakes, scene parody etc.
Pop culture refs make up Spaced, so check it out if you can.

How about the Stormtrooper trying to shoot a picture of Luke Skywalker in that Family Guy episode where Peter, under "Rooster Cogburn", joins a gun club. Obviously, all Stormtroopers (even him) have bad aims.

Dutch director Roland Emmerich famous for Independence Day , Day after tomorrow etc had an earlier film "Joey" aka "Making contact" that had so many references to star wars i'm surprised that he didn't get sued. Heck , even Darth Vader made an cameo appearance.

In the live-action FLINTSTONES film with John Goodman, there is the sign at the drive-in advertising the prehistoric movie, TAR WARS.

In the manga of Dragon Ball Z, we have a shot of Bulma holding a Star Wars blaster and Krillin wielding a Light Saber.

FRIENDS, 3:01, "The One with the Princess Leia Fantasy". Rachel asked Ross if he had any sexual fantasies that she might wish to make come true. Ross admitted to one involving Princess Leia, and Rachel told Monica and Phoebe. Favorite line; Monica, feeling depressed about losing her latest boyfriend, cries, "I just want to go home.(glances at Ross) Or to a galaxy far, far away!" Oh, and for the record, yes Rachel did wear the gold bikini. Exhibit A:

Unfortunately Ross ended up imagining his mom in the bikini, and the mood was shattered.
Oh, did you read FoxTrot a couple of weeks ago? Screamingly funny story where Jason got his head stuck in his Darth Vader helmet, which he wore in anticipation of Episode III. Check it out:
