CNBC has cancelled Dennis Miller's talk show. His last broadcast was yesterday (May 13th).
Though it's been mentioned elsewhere I figured I'd say it here as well:
It appears The WB will cancel Summerland while NBC looks to end Law & Order: Trial By Jury.
Lindsay Lohan will host the May 21st season finale of Saturday Night Live. Coldplay will be the musical guest.
The new Fox drama The Inside will debut Wednesday June 8th at 9 pm. It's about a team of FBI agents tracking serial killers.

Ehhh, not for me. I thought the show stunk and dropped it after a few episodes.
I couldn't get into Trial By Jury. I like the plot twists of original L&W and SVU. And D'Nofrio's "I'm the smartest cop EVER" routine wears a little thin, so Criminal Intent had to go, too.

I'd only seen a bit of the Dennis Miller show and didn't like it much. Miller lost a lot of his edge it seems since his show was cancelled on HBO. Like watching a toothless old lion at the zoo gum his steak. Miller went soft when he showed his Republican roots.

Is it just me or lot of good shows are being cancelled?
Poor Dennis,I guess it's back to HBO for him.

I haven't heard of any campaign to get a third season. I don't see it having much push behind it if someone did start it. The creator signed a deal with Showtime for another series.
It's over.
I'm sure HBO will end up releasing the second season, but I haven't seen any details yet.

I wonder if Lohan will snap in half during her SNL appearance.
If you've seen recent pictures, she looks AWFULLY thin....

Also, ABC has renewed Jake in Progress and Less Than Perfect - 2 shows that were thought to be "on the bubble" and not likely candidates for renewal.
I think Rodney was picked up too...

I hadn't seen any information on that bit of news when I did the Update.

I wonder if they'll do another Debbie Downer sketch. Remember the first one, when the players in the sketch were damn near dying from laughter over Rachel Dratch's facial expressions as Debbie. It got so bad Lohan ended up walking off stage unable to keep a straight face.

that and the fact it had little to do with the jury.they still insist on making the prosecuters the star of the show.

I never thought it would be about the jury, I'm glad it wasn't and instead focused on a nice strong female D.A. team.

Trial by Jury was perhaps the most boring L&O show Ive seen. Nowhere near as interesting as original flavor or CI. I mean, the thing just dragged on, and the characters werent appealing at all.
But then, it could just be that they got a bad set of scripts.
As for Dennis Miller...
I dont think it was his republican support, it was that unless he is free to be completely free and loose with his opinions, like he was on HBO, he comes of way too much like an abrasive doofus.
That and the show was absolutley awful.

I could tell Trial by Jury was failing when every Law and Order show had to be resolved there. The pointless crossover with the more popular show is the hallmark of the failing show.
