If done properly, an animated Conan film could rock on toast, although seeing elsewhere that they may choose to play up the romanace aspects has me kinda worried.

Someone should tell these guys that Bruce Timm is an enormous Conan fan and would probably love to work on this. Not to downplay those involved but anytime you can get Timm onboard it is a good thing!

I don't know. Conan hasn't been the same since Andy Richter left his show.

Yes.

This kicks much ass. I hope tey keep it as violent and action packed as in the books. I dunno if theyll keep in the nudity, but they might if they keep in the violence.

I'm most excited by the idea that it's an actual adaptation of a Howard story. I'd certainly hope they'd find a way to keep both the violence and the nudity to really make an honest adaptation. I'd hope they'd also look at Fire and Ice, which is a buggy movie, but has a really nice Frazetta look that they should at least in part aspire to.

I think this could be done well, but it's difficult to imagaine that it would be. I think they'll bowdlerize it somehow. They might leave a bit of violence in but they'll almost certainly suppress any eroticism. I don't think Timm would be any help, based on his JLA stuff. Of course he presumably wouldn't go with that same visual style for Conan, but I haven't been too impressed with the story or character aspects of the JLA/Superman/Batman (I realise that's a minority opinion) either. I'd look forward to being proved wrong on any of this, though.
