Rate The Spy Kid Series

Here's my list:

Spy Kids: 4/5
I liked it. Floop was an interesting character and the moral message was good for kids.

Spy Kids 2: 5/5
The absolute best of the trilogy, "Spy Kids 2" has much action yet keeps up as a family film. The fight between the spidermonkey and the four legged serpent thing was great.

Spy Kids 3-D: 2/5
Wow. They really let the saga go. Relying mostly on fancy special effects and lame punch lines, "Spy Kids 3-D" lacks the interest and thought out plot lines. Yes, some scenes look really cool, but there are too little of them.

Haven't seen 3-D yet, but the first two were great. Rodriguez has always had a great deal of whimsy in him, and it's great to see him cut loose with it. It was always a little out of place in his Desperado series, but the assumptions are quite different here and, presumably, in Shark Boy this summer.

I liked the first Spy Kids movie, but never bothered with the second and third films.

The first two are great, the third not so much.

Loved seeing a new series of kids' movies that wasn't just tied into a licensed property.
