Not paying attention to FF - what about Galactus?

I haven't paid attention to the FF. The last I glanced at, a human Galactus - Galan, was wandering around with Ben and then killed himself? I might have this wrong.

So what happened in this arc? Galactus is now recharged or what?

Hoping to capitalize on the approach taken with the Silver Surfer (back in FF48-50), they "humanize" Galactus and show him the great potential in human beings. At the end he banishes himself to some other dimension.
