***book of the week***
usually im pissed when theres no action and all talk...
this issue took it even further as punisher barely said a word to blade...
and the ending was pretty funny after the vampires ate the mobsters...
"my guys ate your guys"
"need some help?"
"nah i got it"
the end... lol.

Heh, I enjoyed the interplay between Punisher and Blade. I haven't read a lot of comics featuring either of them, so I felt it gave me a good feel for both characters.

Favorite part: "Stop that. I know that look. I recognize that look. We're getting rid of that look right now."
I loved this issue some great dialogue from Blade. Why doesn't Marvel have a title of/featuring Blade? You think they would since they made 3 movies about him.

I have heard that as well, also a Ghost Rider series in the Fall.
There have been several attempts over the years since the Midnight Sons Blade series ended to do a new series, the first was flop because they strayed to far from the roots of the comic and the movie, the second was a flop because to be blunt they put it in Max and then just did a lot of T/A with little to know story. And the final one with Blade I believe they called it Tomb of Dracula was so far out of any continuum that I don't think anybody cared. Also the art on the last one was not very good.
I think that covers it. :) I have always been a big fan of Blade and the supernatural stuff in Marvel.

Best issue of the series so far. Nice art from Jeff Johnson! It was cool to see him adapt his style to match Scott Kolins' art. For my money keeping everything consistent makes it easier to read the books when there is a fill-in artist.

Either shows you how much I pay attention or how good he is at mimicing Kolin's.

Me,too! He did a pretty good mimicking of Kolins. The story was alright, but Blade's (pretty much one -sided) dialogue with Punisher was great.

And did anybody notice that the explosion that the Ringmaster causes at the end of #7 was the catalyst for the vampires wigging out and eatting the mobsters?

Yeah now lets find out what happened to Spider-man!
Another great issue, and while it did not furthur the plot of the Ringmaster story, it did progress the Imperius story a bit and show the breath of the MU.

Waoh, I totally didn't connect that one. Thanks for the heads up! :D
And I didn't notice kolins wasn't pencilling this issue either. Great job by Jeff Johnson, but drawing so much like someone else that they're indistinguishable from each other probably won't help his career tons.

Yeah, I didn't connect it either until I read the two issues back to back. I only caught it because both explosions were green and had a distinctive fthwoom or something for a sound effect.

i didn't notice until one page where the punisher's face looks like the type johnson would draw. which was probably a good 7 pages in. so great work there
