Beckett Comics will be partnering with Image to release Ronin Hood of the 47 Samurai and several TPB collections of titles that Beckett published as "floppies." You can read more about it here (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/newsitem.cgi?id=5232). I've been holding off on the Beckett books until they were published in TPB format. Now that these will be published by Image, that's even better. From what I've seen and heard, these look like my kind of books. Has anyone read any of them? What did you think?

I read the Ronin Hood FCBD book and that was pretty darn good.
I'm going to get that when it comes out.

Beckett's published some interesting comics, with Fade From Grace being my favorite to-date. Nice twist on the usual superhero fare, told from the perspective of the hero's wife. It's actually a cleverly disguised romance comic. Ballad of Sleeping Beauty was interesting, a western/horror hybrid with a touch of The Unforgiven. Same for the Ronin Hood preview, which mixes a little of the Robin Hood legend with samurai in feudal Japan.
I'll miss their $1.99 floppies, but I think the OGN route will work well for them, especially partnered with Image's marketing and distribution muscle.

After reading the FCBD book, I'm most looking forward to Ronin Hood. Looks excellent.
