..is it more for mature readers? i dont see that with the regular FF four series and Marvel knights 4
thanks
im fairly new to marvel
Ya they're aloud to get away with a lil more than that of a non MK title. For example, that story in MK 4 where Puppet Master was taking eyes of young women to help Alicia probably wouldn't be allowed in the regular Fantatsic Four title.

Think of Marvel Knights as marvel's PG-13 comics, and MAX as their R-rated comics.
There aren't as many MAX comics as there once were, but the Punisher is being put out under the MAX imprint, as is Supreme Power for the time being.

i wonder why 4 and spider-man are always referred to MK 4/spidey but wolverine, district x, etc arent?Because there are non-MK Spider-Man and Fantastic Four titles. Wolverine and whatever else are solely MK, so there's no need to distinguish them from non-MK fare.

I believe it was also to have characters who wouldn't normally be associated with characters to write them (such as Morrison on Fantastic 4, Bendis & Mack on Daredevil.)
