REVELATIONS #1 (of 6)

Written by Paul Jenkins, with art & cover by Humberto Ramos and colors by Leonardo Olea

From Paul Jenkins and Humberto Ramos, the best-selling creative team behind Marvel’s Spectacular Spider-Man, comes a sophisticated murder mystery set in the unlikeliest of places—The Vatican.

Charlie Northern may be one of the best detectives in Scotland Yard but that doesn’t keep him from enjoying a night off curled up with a good book of conspiracy theories and a full pack of cigarettes. That is, until an old friend shows up at his door with the news that a high-ranking Vatican official and probable successor to the Pope has mysteriously died. Now, Northern must travel to Rome and seek out the facts in a place legendary for keeping its secrets. There are forces at work in The Holy See that want Northern to fail—forces darker and more ancient than any in his favorite dime-store paperbacks.

On sale August 31, FC, 32pg, $2.99

Yeah, I saw this over on N-rama.

I LOVE Paul Jenkins' stuff, but.... uh.... well I'll probablly get it because I love Paul Jenkins's writing and just leave it at that. [ / END FEAR OF THE SCORPIBEE MODE]

Depending on the % off I can get, it'll either be a tpb or an issue-by-issue format purchase.

I only get one copy of the things, and not usually until a couple of weeks after they've hit the stores. So I'm afraid I'm not much help.

I'm also in fear of the scorpibees, but if this was Impulse era Ramos, I'm all over it. I'm not a fan of his current style so it looks like I'll be passing on this in the single issue format.

Besides, I need to save my money for the 3 issues of Serenity that I'm going to be buying again in August.

I like Humberto Ramos. I would like to go back and re-read Out There. That was pretty cool.
