....For me it was the Milligan X-Force. I picked up #116-128, but now having re-read them, it's like, "What was I thinking?"
I notice that back issue prices have dropped to next-to-nothing, so others must agree with me!

ruins. i was enthralled by the two issues when i read it that i had to show it to a then army buddy of mine. i recently read it a few months ago and it just didnt seem as 'grim n' gritty' as it did the first time

I don't hate anything, cuz i don't read(at least buy) stuff i dont like. I stick with my comics even through the bad times.

She-Hulk. I cannot stand the character now and even though there were some major problems with both of her prior series, neither were ever as bad as the current one. I have no doubt the rehash will probably follow the exact same baloney as the recent series, as there's nothing to indicate otherwise. The book is popular with some, and somewhow got good reviews (as is constantly mentioned by the writer) but I doubt Nu-She-Hulk will sell much better the next time around than it did the first. Love to see a different Marvel writer tackle the book with a different style and a different take on the character.

I think he means which books did you buy BECAUSE you liked them... re-read them and they just sucked compared to what you remembered.
I know it's not Marvel but Kevin Smith's Green Arrow. I thought it was really good when I read it the first time... but after a re-read it I just didn't get why I liked it so much or the overall love of the book.

Exactly what I meant, thanks. Guess we don't have to limit this thread to just Marvel comics.

Anything with an X on the cover. I was the biggest fan back when I was 10 and into my early teens, but I look at those old comics and wonder if I was retarded or something.
In fact, most of the stuff I loved in the 90's just doesn't hold up at all.
