Hey guys. I know some of our readers live in the UK...Eric and I are headed there for our honeymoon tomorrow night, and we wanted recommendations of comic book stores in London??
I know there's a great one near the British museum that I stumbled across last time I was there, but any other recommendations? I think there's one somewhere near Covent Garden as well...
Yes, we're ill. Leave us alone. ;)

Well, I have a friend that went there once and liked hte name of this place, so he took a pick of it for me:
Deadhead Comics
27 Candlemaker Row
Edinburgh
EH1 2QG
I found a link on a band's site that has a few stores listed. I knon nothing of England geography, so I dunno if it'll help: http://www.raar.co.uk/ourmusic.htm

The one near Covent Garden is Fantastic Store - It moved a few years ago. I have a tendency to stumble accross it, but I couldn't tell you how to get there. Actually you could be talking about Forbidden Planet, which I think moved close to Covent Garden in the last few years. The layout is a bit chaotic, but the shop has a huge range of comics and graphic novels.
If you go to Camden Town, Megacity Comics is there, which was excellent last time I went (though that was a long time ago).

Forbidden Planet - Shaftesbury Avenue nr covent garden
GOSH - nr the British museum
Comicana - about 5 min walk from GOSH
Orbital - nr Tottenham Court Road
These 4 are all fantastic and all within 5-10m of each other
Let me know if you want more details and I'll get them for you along with easy directions

I DEFINITELY hit Gosh, because I now remember the name...and then stumbling across Comicana and the Tottenham Court road one within the next couple of hours (I actually went into the museum), and being insanely jealous that there were 4 such great stores so close to each other.
Do you have addresses??
Thanks thanks thanks!!!
P who is getting excited because they leave tonight! Woot! :D :D
EDIT: I also remember the people at Gosh being spectacularly nice, as opposed to the Forbidden Planet people, who were a bit bored with the whole retail industry, apparently. ;)

They've put that on the same weekend as the Bristol Comics Expo. That's going to dilute both events a bit.

Possibly but maybe not because this is a monthly event so I know between the two I wouldn't hesitate to go to Bristol if I was going.
