Before that, Perez was the last artist (If I remember well) of Roy Thomas'run (the marvel boy story arc and maybe others arcs [this Roy Thomas run, with Perez or others artists -I think it was Rich Buckler for the Galactus/High evolutionary saga-,was great]) and maybe Perez worked with a third writer too on FF (conway?, someone else?), I don't remember.
Thomas/Perez then Wolfman/Perez then Wolfman/Byrne then 3 or 4issues fill-in by Moench Mantlo Sienkevicz then Byrne writer/artist.

I always include Wolfman when we do the lists, mainly for his run on DD in the mid-70s. I know he's written a lot of other stuff around that time, including the FF, and I'm confident he deserves his place in the Pantheon of Marvel's greatest creators.
It's too bad they compile these books with an emphasis solely on the artist, as it means skipping issues in the sequence reprinted. Ah, the Essentials...

Perez with Pablo Marco inking=Glory Days. Yes i`m getting it.
You'd better believe I've ordered this.
I love Perez's work, full-stop. I reckon he's better known as an Avengers artist, but I'm pretty pleased by his work on the FF.
So, as a fan of both the FF and George, this is a winning package for me. I may well have quite a few of the original issues, but a TP of his work on the FF will be a nice book to keep.
(Speaking as such a Perez fan, it's a real shame he didn't get a good long stint on Superman ...)

The Perez run was good but not generally great. His art was good, but he got even better later on, and Wolfman's writing was entertaining but nothing special. Although I have to admit that the issue where the Frightful Four is conducting a recruiting drive was incredibly fun.
