The only reason I ask this is that I heard that the cosmic egg in which Krona was imprisoned in, shows up in a JLA comic. So would that make it canon, or not? Also I hear that Marvel has not confirmed the story, so does that make it non-canon? I am a bit confused on this.

I may be wrong but my understanding is that it is canon in DC but not canon in Marvel. In my opinion, it's probably the only cross-over that is good enough to be even considered canon by either company!

I might be wrong on this, but I believe the X-Men/Titans crossover is also considered canon. Another example of a crossover that was good enough that it deserves to be included.

I wonder what the point is, though? Its not like these stories can ever be referred to by the characters involved, at least not without a great deal of legal wrangling.

It seems that the word "canon" means "in continuity" when applied to comics. If we ever create a canon of the essential works of the comics medium, along the lines of Harold Bloom's Western Canon, I wonder what we're going to call it.

It has been referenced heavily in the recent JLA arc. I think as far as DC is concerned, the events are definatly cannon.

Hopefully, Marvel regards it the same.

Unfortunately, BMB will ignore any similarity between a certain New Avenger and a certain last survivor of an alien world. :p
