Blood of the Demon #3 - I might be one of the few people buying this. I thought issue #2 was very good, and a vast improvement over the first issue, so I'm looking forward to checking this out. And John Byrne's pencils have been excellent.

Firestorm #13 - I'm waay behind on this. I think I'm just buying this because I like Jolley's writing, because I dont care about Firestorm as a character at all.

Lex Luthor: MOS #3

Matador #1 - Looking forward to this. I always like a good noir crime comic and Brian Stelfreeze's pencils look great!

Shanna the She-Devil #4 - This has been very cool, not just cheescake.

I also am gonna flip through Villians United and Superman. I might buy one of those two.

I need to make cuts where I can and my real love for this was coming from the stories and Jason's characterization as one of the most realistic teen heroes I've read.

I've been waiting for this book for YEARS!!! No foolin'. I remember this book being announced AGES ago! AGES!!! I think Grayson was still fresh on her GOTHAM KNIGHTS run, even. This sounds like some really cool and interesting noir (with some supernatural elements) with GORGEOUS art by Brian Stelfreeze. I LOOOOOOVE Brian Stelfreeze and this's his first long-form comics work since his excellent DOMINO mini that Marvel put out a while back.

The first issue was SO CUUUTE!!! I loved it so much!!! Gurihiru's art was WONDERFUL!!! The Franklin Richards back-up was a lot of fun, too! Such an enjoyable book!

I was glad to see these guys get a second book, GIRLS, and I'll probably get that in tpb as well. Having a naked chick on every cover of that series is one way to keep my attention! :eek:

Ok, I know some of you read this one. Is this Vol 1 the 1st series? Before the relaunch, or after? I tried the 1st arc (w/ the Josh Middleton covers) and I didn't like it. So I skipped the Bachalo covers issues, and was considering getting the tpb's for the relaunch if it was any better. So, is it any better? :confused:

I didn't read the Middleton covers arc. It's treated as a mini-series, I believe. The first storyarc in the current run refers back to some things that happened in the mini, from what I can tell, but does a just fine job of filling you in without being exposition-heavy.

I really liked the first arc *alot* - standard setting up the team, delineating the personalities, etc., but so well done and with just enough little quirks that it's not even remotely boring. Plus, I LOVE Randy Green's art. :)

I just thought I'd share that I got around to reading ULTRA last week, and WoW! :eek: I loved it! I'm sure it isn't for everyone, but I really dug that book! I'm very glad I waited for the collection, and I'm doing the same thing w/ the creators' current book GIRLS, because I just couldn't put it down after I started.
