Is the Rann/Thanagar mini being written by the same guy who did Adam Strange?

Because if it is, I am definitely there!!! This has been a wondeful series thus far. I can't wait to read issue 8.

You're right, Adam Strange is great. R/T War does *not* have the same writer, though. Dave Gibbons is doing that.

Darn. What is Gibbon's other work? Is he a decent writer?

He wrote the "Worlds Finest" limited series that Steve Rude drew. That was a few years back. Not sure if he's written anything more recently or not; he's best known for his artwork. I thought he was kind of a surprising choice to write this, actually.

Adam Strange doth rock, and the fact Rann/Thannagar war has a different creative team is a bit of a bother, but it's got good style and a solid consept so I believe it will be as good as Adam Strange. Just as long as the Infinity Crisis tie in bits arn't too prominent.

Gibbons also wrote The Originals (http://www.dccomics.com/graphic_novels/?gn=2441), which has been nominated for an Eisner (Best Graphic Album), so I'm optimistic about his writing ability.
