I rather liked the scene from Resteraunt At the End Of the Universe where Marvin convinces the robot tank to blast the bridge out from under itself.

Plain and simple. 42. The meaning of life the universe and everything.
It doesn't really get more significant than that.

The secret of flight? Throw yourself at the ground . . . and miss!
I loved that.

The radio series timing for that is GOLD! :D

"God" winning a prize for doing the fjiords around Norway.
"Hurry up or you'll be late.
Sorry, I'm not very good at threats.
I mean you'll be the late Arthur Dent."

Yep. That's the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of the books. By far the funniest thing I read in any of the books. I had to stop reading.
I'm fond of the chapter about why Adams skips the boring aspects of Arthur's life, like brushing his teeth, and why that relates to why we never here about him getting laid.
I'm blanking on the species name but the poetry readers in the first book. As a librarian I've hosted some bad poetry readings and each time I mentally project the droning 'poet' as one of those instellar nightmares

I'm almost sure that was Slartibartifast, the designer of the ffords, and not God.
Some of my favorite moments, Dent killing the same person time and time again, in all of his forms, the robots playing cricket, and the constant guide references.
Worst moment? The entire, Mostly Harmless.

My favorite bit is probably the argument that the babelfish proves the non-existence of God:
The argument goes like this:
`I refuse to prove that I exist,' says God, `for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing.'
`But,' says Man, `The Babel fish is a dead giveaway, isn't it? It could not have evolved by chance. It proves you exist, and so therefore, by your own arguments, you don't. QED.'
`Oh dear,' says God, `I hadn't thought of that,' and promptly disappears in a puff of logic.

The best version is the TV one, where we get an equation to prove that black=white and thus many people die at the nearest zebra crossing. :D

Besides all the ones mentioned... Arthur and Ford chasing a floating sofa on prehistoric Earth. And speaking of the third book, the stuff about restaurants and math, and also the Somebody Else's Problem field.
