Do you like to draw? Do you like trucks? Well, this is for you!!!! :D
In this month's Motor Trend's Truck Trend, there is a Design Contest!
(pg.82) May/June 2005 issue)
First of all:
Submissions will not be accepted after June 1, 2005
Send all work to:
TRUCK TREND Magazine
Design Contest 2005
6420 Wilshire Blvd., 7th Floor
Los Angeles, CA 90048
"If there are two times a year when we get giddy, it's when we start receiving...
"Design Contest"...submissions. The opportunity to see all the great vehicles our readers own and ideas you come up with is stunning and sometimes stupefying. With that said, here we are again, asking you to wind up your creativity and hit us with your best shot.
This year's theme is "You, Your Truck, and Your Toys" -interpret that in any way you'd like. We're happy to accept drawings of you standing next to your driveway with your truck, loaded with a bunch of Christmas presents in the bed. Or give us a futuristic look at how people will be hauling gear to the moon so they can jump an ATV six times further than they could on earth - that's fine too. We'll leave it up to you and your inspiration. Vehicles can be whatever you like (pickup, SUV, hybrid, transformer), as long as there's tangible truckness to them. As to the toys you want to draw, just remember: this is a family magazine. Submit as many versions as you'd like, but, eventually, we'll be judging one drawing to make the cut for publication in the magazine with the other finalists. Also, feel free to write about your own background and why you think your drawing should be the winner. Selections will be published in the September/October 2005 issue (on sale August 9), and the winner, chosen by readers who'll submit ballots, will be published in our January/February 2006 issue - to start the new year off right, Once again, we will accept computer-generated and hand-drawn submissions, and, due to the increasing volume, they can't be returned. Good Luck. TT"
Well, what do you think people!?!?? If I could draw a lick I might try, and no, i don't work for the magazine, i just like trucks and I thought this was something cool that i saw.
Any takers!??!?!??? ANy?!??!?!?? :)
