I ran across this cover scan on the GCD of Dell's Maverick #15.
I think this is a really bad fake. Tho I can't think why anyone would go to the trouble to do this. The logo is the correct font, but it is going up at an angle whereas on the other issues, it is level. And don't ask me what that blob in the upper left corner is.
Maybe this cover had the top portion cut off and someone tried to patch together a logo and Dell stamp.

I'm more inclined to think it's a really bad scan done by someone who doesn't know how to use a scanner and/or their copy of Photoshop.

Wonders why they bothered!

Looks to me like a really bad scan of a non-US edition of the comic.

I have a copy of this issue of "Maverack" *. The logo does not look like that. The logo looks just like previous issues. The Dell stamp is red, green, and black------not red, yellow, and black as shown here. The blotchy black circle below the Dell stamp does appear on the cover. It's a 15 cent price circle.
Did you notice how much the cover of # 17 looks like that of # 15? Must be from the same photo shoot.
* this is a joke that ROK will get. or anyone else who's seen the "Maverick" episode, "Duel at Sundown."

The only other image of Maverick #15 I could find is this postage-stamp size image. It's too small for details, but you can see the logo is level:

It looks to me as though the GCD scan is of the actual comic, but distorted somehow - note that the height-to-width ratio is wrong. If the scanner's playing up that way, it could also be taking blue out of the cover, making the green part of the Dell symbol appear yellow.

I don't think it was made with a scanner at all. My guess is that someone found an ebay auction of a set of comics, including this issue of Maverick. The auction had a digital photo of 10 or so issues laid on the floor, shot at enough of an angle that when this cover was clipped out, expanded, and squared, the result was this ugly thing.
