I apologise if I've ever thought bad thoughts about this title. I picked up the first trade when it came out and for some odd reason, I wasn't all that excited about it. Today, I had the sudden urge to pick up the second. I've read it and I absolutely LOVE it. It looks as though all things are worth a second chance even if you hate them at first glance. :) Just thought I'd share that. Does it get any better from here?

Yeah, it does.

Although I should note that 100 BULLETS does change as it goes. Later issues often aren't quite as punchy as the early ones, with Graves giving people the attache. The conspiracy comes to the forefront. It's still great, but in different ways.

That's great news. It's such a cool read. Very intense and the artwork is even better than I remember. The cover art is absolutely fantastic. I half expected it to get into a conspiracy type theme after the first few trades and to be honest, I'm actually looking forward to it.

Any other great Azzarello reads?

I just picked up Vol 3-6 for 50% off...glad I did. The Third volume won the Eisner and I can see why, definitely one of Vertigo's many great titles.

Sounds good. It's so refreshing to find such a smooth and original title.

ive never read a comic book in my life, maybe a batman when i was 11 and a x-men when i was 12. i grew up in a ghetto ass neighborhood, and according to my friends, only nerds read comics, so i never gave them a shot. that all changed when i saw sin city about 3 weeks ago. i heard the movie came from a comic book, so i ran to the store, i told the guy working there what type of comic book i would want. i didnt want no superman shit. i wanted something more real. he told me about 100 bullets, i bought the 1st 2 trades, started reading the 1st trade yesterday, didnt stop till i finished the 2nd trade. and i loved it. i still have a lot of questions, but im sure they will be answered as i pick up the rest of the trades. hot story, hot art. i love it :)

If you're into the more realism side of comic books TheEvilGeniuz, just check out the majority of Vertigo titles. Y-The Last Man is another that you'd probably like. Anyway.. good to see that you're enjoying 100 Bullets. It's definitely the most exciting title I've read in a long, long while.

First of all this is such a good book, and I'm glad to hear two new readers (one on a second chance) are enjoying it as much as I am. The book gets even better and better in some ways because the main story line becomes more clear and concrete..also some of the characters you haven't met yet are just AWESOME.

As for Sleeper...real good book, but closer to the super hero world. In a way it's trying to find a balance between being a gritty realistic book and being about powered beings, etc. I really like it, but I'm a bit wary of putting it in the same category as 100 Bullets. There are a number of gritty "realistic" books out there the trick is trying to find the ones good for you.

I've gotta get the third trade. I've reread the first and second three times over. Hopefully, tommorow I'll pick up 3 and 4. I love this book.

I'm running out of money. I picked up book 3, 4 and 5 the other day. So far, I've read 3 and a bit of 4. It's getting out of hand. :| It's so gritty.... I don't know how else to describe this title.
