so what did everyone think of the issue? obviously, it didn't progress much and was kinda wordy, but i think Justiniano's art looks REALLY great!!

I haven't been picking this one up and I suspect the same may be true for several others. How about a plot summary?

here goes:
Ulysses and Nymph have a discussion about family on their version of the 'carrier'. Sensei and Delphi explain about how Ulysses is going to completely change, and if they can stop that. Ulysses then finds out that his family thinks he's really dead because a fake corpse was at the scene. he flips out and manages to hit Sensei (which apparently has never happened before), and it takes both Nymph and Delphi to subdue him. it's also hinted that Nymph has feelings for Uysses. They then go on a mission to steal a treatment from the enemy that might help treat Ulysses. Nymph goes in alone while Ulysses breaks out of the chair they were holding him in. Ulysses attacks Delphi and in the process, trashes the ship's cloaking device so Nymph is discovered. Sensei rushes to help, and the final page shows him approaching the evil creatures who are eating (i think) Nymph, and saying it's too late
sorry if this isn't any good, i've never really written one of these before!

I accidentally picked up the 2nd issue. I had planned to drop it after trying the first issue as it held zero interest for me.
Suffice it to say that the 2nd issue confirmed my opinions.

yeah i actually agree with you that it can be boring and probably nothing original... but the draw for me is Justiniano's art!

You know what, a buddy of mine grabbed this. I had a chance to leaf through it, but thats it. Your right, the art work looks fantastic though.

I found the second issue to be a vast improvement over the first, but still not there yet by any means. Too wordy, yes, but anytime a writer actually attempts to tell a story NOW, rather than stretch over five issues, I’m willing give him more of a chance. Unfortunately, about two-thirds of the way through, #2 degenerated into all-action/no-substance mode. Whether I pick up the third issue will depend entirely on how much of what I regularly buy comes out that week.
