I'm directing a film this summer, involving knights, monsters, and stuff. It's very "suspense" so the monster is barely seen throghout the majority of the film, but I do need to deliver SOME payoff by the end, even if it's in the dark and obscured ala "Signs"
I have no solid design for the monster yet, but it's envisioned as some kind of Lovecraftian/HR Gieger Alien kind of nasty thing.
I'm tossing out my hat for suggestions from you, creative clever people, on how I might achieve these monster effects with very little money. I imagine my best bet is a dude in a costume, but how to construct one cheaply, and somewhat believeably.

Jello!!!!!
Actually, Booster if you can one book I recommend is the Call of Cthulu live action gamming book. I know they are out of print now but you might still find a few out there at gaming stores. They have a few great ideas for using in their games and may even help you here.

MY GOD! I just googled "Cthulu Live Action Gaming"
People DO this type of thing? What a fascinating thing. Dear lord. I am in shock that Ive never heard of this before. I did a "Murder Mystery Party" once, but this is f****ing awesome.
Have you done this? How cool... I feel like a 12 year old just discovering D&D, which was 15 years ago for me.
Cant post more. Must look at more "LARP" websites.

LOL welcome to the sickness.. ;)
I ran a game that I told all my players was going to take 6 sessions, (6 months) and only ran it for 5. It rocked everyone loved it. At the end every one died, except for 2 players. it was fun.
