Did Mike Deodato Jr. & Jim Cheung talk to each other before laying out the covers for Amazing Spider-man#519 & Fantastic Four#525 this week. There's an uncanny resemblence between the two:

ASM #519 (http://www.milehighcomics.com/firstlook/042005/amspid519cvr.html)

FF#525 (http://www.milehighcomics.com/firstlook/042005/ff525cvr.html)

Damn right it's an uncanny resemblance. It's probably a coincidence though, they're both using generic heroic pose #345, or is that 343? Can't quite remember.

MJ appears to be a bit chilly wearing that belly shirt. :p

I was very very impressed with Grummett's art in FF #525! I was thinking of dropping the title because Wieringo and Waid are off and pick up again when McKone and JMS start but I flipped through this issue and was hooked! I can't remember Grummett's stuff looking so good. To be fair, I have only seen his art in current Teen Titans fill ins and don't actively seek out his work. Has Larry Stucker always inked him? Paul Mounts' colors were fantastic!
The art sort of had a J Scott Campbell feel to it. I also got a bit of a UDON feeling from it at times. OK, I've said enough.... Did anyone else really like the art is this issue? The story was pretty interesting too! Dreams are cool.
