Column Length

It's been suggested the columns are too long. Should I shorten them?No.

I like the "grab bag" quality of the column. A little comics, a little politics, some reviews, et. al. It feels the right length to me, especially since I don't feel like I have to read every single word. If something's not grabbing me, I'll just go to the next section (conveniently highlighted in red).

Grant should leave them alone. Make'em longer if anything.

If people can't read them all in one sitting, how about--and this is a novel idea, for sure--coming back to finish them later?

They only come out once a week. It's not like they're daily.

Nah - keep the length. It's divided up so you can choose which bits to read anyway.

Longer is Better.

Sometime I will come and read a bit here and a bit there over the course of the week. I can also go into the archives to see anything I may have missed.

The addition of the Links at the top of this week's column allow you to go to a section and start reading. This can help the short attention span readers.

Finally, I like the comments in the column. Using the links can allow those who don't want the political content to skip it.

One other comment; you make good use of headers in your column, so it is pretty easy for those who only want to read some parts to skip over the parts they don't want to read.

I like the length- it's really three collumns in one- comics, entertainment, and politics. I wouldn't change a thing.

I only just began reading it recently, but I certainly haven't minded the length. As has been said, you can always come back to it later.
